You can run the Stohn Miner on most desktop or laptop computers that have at least 4 CPU cores. The miner supports:
At this time, phones, tablets, and Raspberry Pi devices are not recommended due to low performance.
Your earnings depend on your computer's CPU power and how long you keep the miner running. A modern desktop or laptop might earn between 50 and 300 SOH per month with consistent mining.
Miners who have earned at least 500 SOH and the community's total mining rewards exceed $50 in BTC, you'll receive your payout in SOH or WSOH directly to your linked wallet. If you earn less, your balance carries over to the next month.
The miner uses your computer's CPU to process mining tasks. While it's running, your system may feel slower, especially if you're using other CPU-heavy programs.
You can choose between light, balanced, or full mining modes based on how much performance you want to dedicate.
Mining causes your CPU to run at high usage. Laptops may get warm or activate their cooling fans. To avoid overheating:
Payouts are processed once per month. You will receive SOH or WSOH to the wallet address linked to your Stohn Miner ID, as long as you have earned at least 500 SOH and the community's total mining rewards exceed $50 in BTC.
If you haven’t met the threshold yet, your balance is saved and added to your next month’s total.
1. To get started, first generate a Miner ID using your SOH or WSOH address that you will use to track your earnings and receive payouts.
2. Then download the miner for your device, unzip it, and follow the setup instructions in the readme.txt file.
3. Run the miner and keep the terminal window open while mining. You can close it anytime to stop mining.
4. Your earnings will be tracked using your Miner ID, and you will receive payouts once you reach the minimum threshold.
